Are your products fragile? Do they require special care at home?

All pottery is fragile, but we take extra care to make each piece ultra durable. Our stoneware clay bodies, in combination with specifically formulated glazes, are fired to make them as strong as possible.

By configuring our glaze recipes to compliment the clay body, our products are stronger than many commercially manufactured clay and glaze combinations.

All of The Goods Pottery products are microwaveable and dishwasher-safe. They are designed for daily use and do not require special care. Our designs also include thoughtful details to add small, positive experiences when you use our pottery.

Can I purchase your products in person?

At this time, we only sell our pottery via our website. Occasionally we'll have a booth at a West Coast farmers' market or art fair. Follow @thegoodspottery on Instagram for upcoming events.

Can I use your products in the dishwasher and microwave?

Absolutely! Our pottery is safe to use in the dishwasher and microwave. You can also heat our dishware in the oven, although we recommend avoiding thermal shock by not putting a cold dish in a hot oven.

How are your products made? What materials so you use?

For nearly 25 years we have been thinking about and testing techniques, styles, and the utility of our wares. The work we show on our website is our most heartfelt and honest expression of our understanding of the ceramic process. We use the strongest clays, fired to their witness temperature using glazes formulated specifically and uniquely for our clay.

Where do you ship?

We can easily to ship anywhere in the United States. Not in the U.S.? Reach out hello@thegoodspottery.com and we'll discuss for international or overseas shipping.

How long will it take for my order to ship?

Orders are processed and shipped within 2 business days after they are placed. Orders placed Friday, Saturday or Sunday are processed on Monday and shipped on Tuesday.

I need my order fast. Can I pay extra for expedited shipping?

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return/exchange policy?

Due to the unique and handmade nature of our product we do not offer refunds once items are shipped, however, we do want you to love the pottery you receive.

If you plan on placing large order such as sets or a full collection, we recommend first purchasing a mini bowl or mug to confirm you're happy with the overall look and feel before investing in several pieces.

If, after receiving your order you have a change of heart or preference, we hope you can gift the pottery to someone who will enjoy them.

My pottery arrived broken. What should I do?

It is heartbreaking when handmade wares don’t arrive in one piece. We do everything we can to protect your pottery on its way to you, but occasionally mishaps happen.

Please take a photo of the work as soon as you open the box showing the damage
and email the photo to hello@thegoodspottery.com.

Depending on availability, we will ship a replacement out as soon as possible!

How do I exchange an item?
